The Swiss Society of Intensive Care Medicine (SSICM)

Since 1972, the Swiss Society of Intensive Care Medicine (SSICM) has been committed to the high quality treatment of critically ill patients in Swiss hospitals. The coming together of doctors and intensive care nurses into a single professional association in 2011 was a pioneering move. The SSICM has since reflected the interprofessionalism that exists on a daily basis in intensive care units. Together, the doctors and nursing specialists of the SSICM are responsible for intensive care patients in Switzerland.
