We are pleased to announce that as of September 1, 2024, we have taken over the General Secretariat of the Swiss Society for Infectious Diseases (SSI).
After a highly successful 13-year collaboration, during which we have established ourselves as a reliable partner and professional organizer of the SSI's annual congress, the board of the Swiss Society for Infectious Diseases has asked us to take over the General Secretariat as well as the society's accounting in the future.
Founded in 1990, the SSI now has around 380 members, consisting of specialized physicians, researchers, and other experts in the field of infectious diseases. The society is committed to promoting infectious diseases in Switzerland through scientific work, continuing education, and the exchange of specialized knowledge.
The Swiss Society for Infectious Diseases aims to improve its structure and organization, and therefore seeks to further professionalize its General Secretariat.
Despite its size of approximately 380 members, the SSI has not yet had a professional General Secretariat, with many tasks being handled voluntarily by society members. The goal is to relieve members, particularly board members, in many areas so they can focus on their core responsibilities.
Sandra Caduff has been appointed as Secretary General, bringing her extensive experience and expertise from her 11 years with IMK to this important role.
We very much look forward to the future collaboration with SSI and its members!
